The hearing officer of the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC) has directed that an election take place as soon as possible for our union representative.

The PERC hearing officer determined that Teamsters Local 2011 registration met all of the requirements of the applicable Florida statute. The PERC hearing officer rejected the PBA’s efforts to deny our right to an election and recommended that an election be held as soon as practicable.

There will be an election. The date will be set soon.

This is an important step for us as we work to form our union with the Teamsters. We will keep everyone posted on future developments.
