As we speak, legislators in Tallahassee are moving forward in an effort to privatize correctional facilities in 18 counties in southern Florida – just like they tried to do last year before the courts ruled the move was unconstitutional! On October 13, the Teamsters Union filed a federal complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor against FDOC, asking for an investigation into a pattern of repeated wage theft throughout the state prison system.
